How Much Does an Extended Warranty Cost?

How Much Does an Endurance Extended Warranty Cost?

The price of a vehicle service contract (VSC), or extended auto warranty in laymen’s terms, can depend on a lot of factors. There are a variety of plans specialized to fit each car’s specific needs.

Similar to insurance products, the price of a VSC for a particular vehicle reflects the risk of that vehicle having a breakdown. Consequently, the factors that go into pricing your vehicle service contracts include your car’s make, model, mileage, age, service history, driving habits, and much more.

To understand how we evaluate the likelihood of a car breaking down, consider two examples:
Vehicle 1: A 2004 Honda Civic, with 120,000 miles on it and used to commute 90 minutes a day, putting as many as 1500 miles a month on it. Chooses a plan with a $50 deductible.

Vehicle 2: A 2010 Honda Civic, with 30,000 miles on it and used occasionally to run errands. Chooses a plan with $100 deductible.

Although these two vehicles are the make and model, they could have very different prices. The first car is older and used more often, it will carry a much greater risk of breaking down. The lower deductible selected will also translate to a higher price for coverage.

As a rule of thumb, the vehicle service contract may cost between $345- $720 for every year of coverage. However, Titan can work with every client to tailor a Vehicle Service Contract that fits their budget. Contact us today to find out how much a personalized plan for your vehicle would cost.
